NWC Action Alert Calling for Congress to Add Whistleblower Protection to the "Bailout" Bill
The National Whistleblower issued this action alert yesterday demanding that Congress amend the banking "bailout" bill to include the whistleblower provisions included in H.R. 985. The alert, written by NWC advocacy director Lindsey Williams, rightly points out that in order to ensure that this taxpayer funded multi-billion dollar lifesaver isn't subjected to fraud, waste or abuse, the bill should include strong whistleblower protections.
Further, Congress has stalled long enough in passing the Whistleblower Protection Act amendments (hr.985) and this is the perfect opportunity to add them, as an amendment, to a bill that is sure to pass.

This proposal is great but I believe that there should be procedures written out on how to combat these abuses or violations. Such as a separate independent agency to investigate and have powers of enforcement aganist violators which is usually starting at the front level management and above. Making sure that each agency has in place where employees can make referrals without be fearful of harassment and retaliation.
Dear Readers, 9/24/2008
In my efforts to briefly compliment the NWC within and for their continued superb and excellent and spot perfect due dillegence and including within this Article, please allow me to suggest and confirm to recommend that our US Legislatures will at least allow the minimal sense of Decency, Dignity and Integrity towards our US Constitution and Democracy and our Great Country with the absolutely necessary and imperative immediate and/or inclusive floor vote and passage of the superb and excellent FEDERAL EMPLOYEE WHISTLEBLOWER PROTECTION ACT. Please note that clearly and unmistakeably within proper and forthright interpretation of Law these US Constitutional and Democratic inalienable rights and expectations should have been always allowed in the first place.
Thank you and all for your time and consideration.
Sincerely,
Axel
