Interns help the whistleblower cause

Interns 2011 fall

We are grateful to have the assistance of new interns for the Fall.  Standing are Mark, Trevor, Daphney, Tim, Kim and Owen (our staffer for the National Whistleblowers Center). Seated are Rafaele, David, Fay and Yasin. Our intern program provides a unique learning opportunity for those interested in the law or other forms of public advocacy. These interns are already busy with a variety of projects helping us to advance the whistleblower cause.  Thank you.

Lorie Plegue - October 23, 2011 12:58 PM

Hello,
My name is Lorie Plegue, I am a current doctoral student working on my dissertation. I have chosen a topic that exposes what a whistleblower endures and if there is any policies in organizations for protecting the whistleblower. The question I will answer through this process is “What is the impact on the employee who blew the whistle due to unethical or illegal acts in the organizations”? I am looking for whistleblowers who blew the whistle in organizations due to unethical or illegal behaviors in the past 10 years and are willing to tell their story that will be completely confidential.
All respondents and organizations will be kept private. No names, places, addresses, telephone numbers, email address or any other information that will tie or lead to the discovery of the interviewee will be used in the reporting process of the dissertation. A letter of confidentiality and instructions will be given to every interviewee. The interview will take place by phone. All interviews will be at a set time and date. I am looking forward to talking to anyone who will participate in a survey that may help organizations to change and/or strengthen policies to protect the whistleblower.
Please feel free to call me or email me for further information.
