  • Merck's $670 Million False Claims Act Settlement

    is finally being reported on. The San Fransisco Chronicle had this story on Feb 8, 2008. The settlement is a result of a nationwide investigation, which prosecutors say revealed that Merck had been overcharging Medicare for perscription drugs. Merck's attorneys call the FCA claims a "disagreement (over) the rules of the Medicaid rebate program."
